So my first bringer show happened last night at the New York Comedy Club, and it went very well. Thanks to those who came out: Max, Basil, Travis, Shesi, Grace, and Grace’s friend (sorry I can’t remember your name – I was way too nervous before the show when I met you to absorb any of it). I finally found my voice a little better – unlike my first video on YouTube (where I’m clearly nervous and didn’t have much conviction in any of my delivery).
Unfortunately, I don’t have any clips to show for this week, since the DVD recording somehow got messed up. It’s unfortunate because I definitely had some really organic segments – spots that I had to improv last second because I blanked – that got a great reception.
Also, the first 25 dollars I got from comedy was spent on: 7 dollars for a Heineken at Niagara (plus tip), 12 dollars for for a Niku-don at the Udon place on St. Mark’s, and seafood noodles at Jobee for 7 dollars.
